Church hosts prayer walk at Evansville high schools

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Religious leaders in Vanderburgh County are preparing for the new school year with prayer.

Central High School was one of the many locations where people came together to pray over its students, faculty and staff. The pastor of Community Central Church says his congregation works with many students throughout the school year to see what should be prayed for.

“There’s a lot of anxiety that these students have,” says Pastor Brian Turpin. “There’s a lot of things that they’re facing that I never had to face when I was their age. So, we want to pray about those things.”…
