Alabama shoppers are being urged to check their refrigerators as a recall involving fresh jalapeños expands to prepared food products sold across multiple states.
Taylor Fresh Foods is recalling several products made with jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors because of potential Salmonella contamination. The recall comes as the FDA and CDC investigate a multi-state outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to fresh jalapeños.

While recalled products were sent to several major retailers, including Kroger, Walmart, Target, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Hannaford and Stop & Shop, the product specifically listed as distributed to Alabama is sold at Kroger.
