MYRTLE BEACH, SC. (WPDE) — Back-to-school shopping is putting a strain on family budgets as the cost of clothes, shoes and school supplies adds up, especially for families with multiple children.
For many parents, the shopping list grows longer each year, from replacing clothes that no longer fit to buying everything teachers require for the classroom. With families trying to balance back-to-school expenses alongside other household bills, shoppers said they are looking for any opportunity to bring down the total at checkout.
