Sunday, Aug. 16, marks the ninth annual 816 Day Celebration, a citywide event that honors Kansas City culture, while giving folks an opportunity to connect with local businesses, artists, musicians and community organizations. It was started by Kansas City event promoter Brian “Bizzy” Benton.
