A speeder was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop near a gated community in Oxford.
Jaquay Tyron Flowers, 25, of Ruskin, sped past an officer in a red Buick Encore around 11:22 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. Radar confirmed he was traveling 51 mph in the 35-mph zone at the intersection of County Road 466 and Lakeshore Way, near the Lakeshore at Lake Andrew gated community in Oxford.
The officer subsequently stopped Flowers at the intersection of County Roads 466 and 209. As he illuminated the vehicle with a spotlight, he saw Flowers swap seats with a female passenger. When questioned about this, he stated he did not have a driver’s license with him, the report said.
A check of his driving history revealed his license had actually been suspended. He later admitted that he knew, and this was the real reason they swapped seats, the report said…
