Skaneateles, N.Y. – When Anyela’s Vineyards in Skaneateles decided to sell, Skaneateles Festival organizers were worried.
That’s because the festival has used the winery as one of its venues for the past decade. So in early June, the festival paid $2.1 million to buy 37 acres along West Lake Road as a backup plan.
But Anyela’s owner Jim Nocek told syracuse.com | The Post-Standard in recent days that he would only sell the winery to a buyer who would honor the remaining eight years on the festival’s lease. He said he would make that a contingency as part of the purchase contract and that he had always intended to do so…
