COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — As severe thunderstorms wreak havoc across Columbus and central Ohio, reports of downed power lines, flooded roadways and damaged trees are dominating in the aftermath.
After a wave of overnight storms left a wake of power outages in over a dozen central Ohio counties, additional rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms once again prompted the National Weather Service to issue warnings throughout the state.

Heavy rain, and winds reported approximately 80 MPH, along with flooding once again blanketed the area and preliminary tracking of the next storm system showed that counties throughout the area are under a threat for an additional 1-2″ of rain, with possible tornado activity.
Reporters on location with NBC4 began sending in early storm damage photos and videos from Perry County, Licking County, and more locally, in Clintonville show trees snapped half, as well as overnight lightning shots from Grandview Heights.
The National Weather Service has extended a severe thunderstorm watch until 2 p.m. for Franklin County and area counties such as Delaware, Licking, Union, Madison, Perry, while others are also on flood watches in southeastern Ohio…
