Tests find 2 viruses in dog deaths, sickness at Evansville Animal Control

EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – After extensive testing and waiting for results, Evansville Animal Care & Control has announced an update on a possible cause of recent dog deaths and sicknesses.

Officials announced several SNAP tests were performed on a dog before it passed away as well as other dogs that showed similar symptoms, and those tests were negative.

However, after PCR testing, officials announced the results detected parvovirus and Giardia. More tests are pending and results will be shared when available…
