Vandal leaves hundreds without internet in Van Buren County, $10K reward offered

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — Bloomingdale Communications is offering a $10,000 reward for information that can lead to an arrest of whoever has been cutting their fiber optic cables around Paw Paw and Gobles.

Since Aug. 5, vandals have destroyed three service boxes in Van Buren County amounting to $40,000, according to Van Buren County Undersheriff Casey Davis.

“The amount of damage this is causing, the amount of havoc this is causing, we actually have all our detectives on board right now,” Davis said.
