PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – The Pearl police chief is sharing more details after a teenager’s alleged violent crime spree that led to an arrest, an escape attempt and adult felony charges.
Pearl Police Chief Nick McLendon said Corderryon Stewart, 15, of Florida, had his initial court appearance and is being charged as an adult. Stewart faces multiple charges, including robbery, kidnapping, use of a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, felony fleeing and escape.
“He escaped from the police department for a short amount of time Sunday while he was being booked in. He actually pulled a fire alarm, which unlocked all the doors, and he ran out the door.
