Lubbock City Council passes resolution to adopt maximum tax rate

LUBBOCK, Texas — During its latest meeting on Tuesday, the Lubbock City Council passed a proposal to adopt a maximum property tax rate for city developments.

City council approves LEDA’s request for a zone stage

The vote to implement the plan was unanimous, with a clean 7-0 vote from the members of city council.

According to the proposal, it will add additional revenues to Lubbock based on outlines in Section 25.06 (d) of the Tax Code of the State of Texas.
