The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Northville man drowned during this past weekend’s Raft-Off event.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division was dispatched to an area two to three miles south of the mouth of Lake St. Clair’s South Channel on the evening of Saturday, August 8, due to a report of an individual who entered the water and had not resurfaced.
The United States Coast Guard and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division assisted in the search, with the Macomb County Dive Team also brought in to assist. The dive team ultimately recovered the body of 23-year-old James “Jak” Kramer of Northville, Michigan, around 11 a.m. on Monday, August 10 following an extensive search of the area…
