As homelessness continues to rise across Washtenaw County, First Presbyterian Church of Saline will host a public screening of “The Road Home,” a documentary examining the connections among homelessness, housing insecurity and mental health.
The free screening will take place on Sept. 13, 2 to 5 p.m. at the church, 143 E. Michigan Ave. A facilitated community discussion will follow the film.
“The Road Home” looks at the experiences of people facing homelessness and the work of local organizations trying to help them. It also examines systemic barriers, including funding cuts and a fragmented network of services that can make it difficult for people to find consistent assistance…
