Health officials in two Maryland counties are urging residents and pet owners to take precautions after a raccoon, fox and bat tested positive for rabies.
The Harford County Health Department announced Tuesday that state health officials had confirmed rabies in a raccoon found in Havre de Grace and a fox discovered in Forest Hill. Officials said the animals were found in separate areas of the county and that people or pets nearby may have come into contact with them.
