JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials said a couple accused of installing faulty fire suppression systems in commercial kitchens across Mississippi is making their way through the court system to face dozens of pending charges.
Officials with the State Fire Marshal’s Office said Sherri Finnegan appeared in Hinds County Court on July 22, 2026. Her bond was set at $200,000 and later reduced to $50,000, after which she posted bond.

She was then transferred to Jefferson County, where she posted a $20,000 bond. She is currently being held in Warren County pending a bond hearing.
Daniel and Sherri Finnegan both pled guilty and were sentenced earlier this year in Rankin and Madison counties.
Officials said Sherri Finnegan’s release is conditional, and she is prohibited from possessing any firearms or other weapons. She is also barred from installing fire protection or electronic security systems unless properly licensed under Mississippi law…
