Hudson Regional Health Performs Hudson County’s First Robotic Laser Cataract Surgery

Hudson Regional Health’s Ophthalmology Medical Director, Dr. Brett Bielory, marked another milestone in eye care by performing Hudson County’s first-ever robotic laser cataract surgery at Secaucus University Hospital. Secaucus University Hospital is one of only a few healthcare facilities in New Jersey to offer the cutting-edge ALLY Robotic Cataract Laser System, bringing state-of-the-art laser cataract technology to patients in the region.

The technology utilized by HRH uses advanced imaging to analyze and map the eye before laser treatment. Once images of the eye are taken, the robotic technology computes and recommends a treatment plan, and assists Dr. Bielory’s team in executing it with robotic precision. The result is a highly personalized patient experience based on the unique features of the individual’s eye.

“Hudson Regional Health is proud to lead the way in bringing the latest advances in healthcare technology to Hudson County,” said CEO and President Dr. Nizar Kifaieh. “Our ophthalmology team at Secaucus University Hospital is second to none, combining exceptional expertise with advanced technology to provide patients with the highest level of personalized eye care.”…
