Neighbor urges drivers to slow down after student gets hit near Little Rock school

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Watson Elementary School student is recovering after being hit by a car Wednesday morning near a bus stop on Geyer Springs Road in Little Rock.

The incident happened near Dr. Marion Lacey Academy as students were making their way to school.

Valencia Taylor, who lives near the school, said drivers often move too quickly through the area.

“They are flying,” Taylor said. “It’s very dangerous, actually. And there’s a bunch of kids who live right over here, actually by the school.”…
