ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The fate of former state rep and Albuquerque Public Schools administrator Sheryl Williams Stapleton, who is facing federal corruption allegations, will soon be in the hands of a jury.

Following the testimony of Stapleton’s accused co-conspirator Joseph Johnson, the defense rested its case Wednesday morning. Now, attorneys are set to deliver their closing arguments before a jury decides if the pair are guilty of conspiring to steal millions of taxpayer dollars.
