Suspect accused of destroying police drone, attacking K9 during NW Portland arrest

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A Portland man accused of running from police with a knife through the Northwest District Neighborhood, breaking into a building and assaulting a police dog has been arrested, Portland Police said.

Joshua R. Kuras, 33, of Portland, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center after he was cleared medically at the hospital.

He faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, burglary in the second degree, criminal mischief in the first degree, criminal mischief in the second degree (two counts), interfering with a law enforcement animal, attempted animal abuse in the second degree, and escape in the third degree…
