Sobriety checkpoints happening in Stark County on Friday

MINERVA, Ohio (WJW) – Law enforcement will be conducting sobriety checkpoints in Stark County on Friday, August 14.

According to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies will be working with the Stark County OVI Task Force to conduct the checkpoints in the area of Minerva.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld law enforcement using sobriety checkpoints in 1990, but agencies must follow a set of guidelines like notifying the public with details about them.
