Anyone near a Mechanicsburg military base may hear cannon fire during a planned Friday morning ceremony.
Officials at the Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg, on the 5400 block of Carlisle Pike, posted a warning that cannons will be fired around 10 a.m. as part of a change of command and retirement ceremony.
Hampden Township police echoed NSA Mechanicsburg’s warning on Facebook, alerting residents to expect “loud booms.”…
