Mira Mesa shooting involving husband and wife deemed murder-suicide

MIRA MESA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A shooting in Mira Mesa last week that left a woman dead and her husband in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his torso has been deemed a murder suicide, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).

Around 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, police responded to reports of suspicious activity at a residence located on Summerview Court in Mira Mesa.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found the garage door of the residence open and 78-year-old Tere Silentwater-Teresi shot dead. Police then found her husband, 61-year-old Todd Teresi, also in the garage suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso, SDPD said…
