(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Fishing Has No Boundaries is a nonprofit organization working to make fishing and the outdoors more accessible to people with disabilities. The 100% volunteer-run organization is preparing for its 19th annual community fishing event, happening September 26 and 27 at Lake Pueblo State Park.
Volunteer Shelly Cox and participant John Jefferson joined Loving Living Local host Justin Antweil to talk about the event and what attendees can expect.
“Last year 85 families joined us, and this year we are hoping for 100 families over the two-day fishing excursion,” said Cox. “This is two days of fun, fishing, and camaraderie! Cost Per Day: $35 per participant; $15 per friend, family member, or attendant. A limited number of scholarships are available.”
Participants will fish from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with check-in beginning at 8 a.m. at the South Shore Boat Ramp. Breakfast, lunch, fishing rods and tackle will be provided…
