SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A man who was trusted to take care of children is in the Lyon County jail on charges of theft, forgery and money laundering.
SF sex offender in custody for robbery charges
According to court records, 23-year-old Andrew Calhoon was the director of Wiggles and Giggles Childcare Center in Larchwood, Iowa. The Sioux Falls man is accused of stealing more than $10,000 from the nonprofit childcare center over the last year.
Court documents allege that during his tenure as daycare director, Calhoon deposited 24 checks into his personal accounts that were intended for or made out to Wiggles and Giggles. The total amount on the checks was $10,536.40, according to court documents.
