CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Corvallis School District board adopted a resolution Aug. 12 that puts a five-year local option levy renewal on the November 2026 ballot.
The levy would renew current local option taxes that voters first approved in 2006 and have renewed three times since then. The proposed rate of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value would keep the current tax rate the same and extend it for another five years starting in the 2027-28 school year.
According to the district, the tax revenue would continue operating schools at their current level. The money would fund teachers at all schools to sustain class sizes, music, physical education and art instruction for elementary students, vocational and technical education opportunities, counseling support for students, instructional coaches to improve teaching and learning, and high school athletics and activities…
