About 1,500 animals were released from a mink farm in Turner early Aug. 13 after someone cut through a section of the facility’s perimeter fence, according to Fur Commission USA, a national trade association representing mink farmers.
Cascade Farm has recovered about 80% of the released mink, said Challis Hobbs, the association’s executive director.
