HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – The Huntsville City Council is moving forward with plans for a 300-acre mixed-use development off Greenbriar Parkway and Mooresville Road in west Huntsville, an area annexed from Limestone County.
The project is expected to be driven in part by demand for housing near the new Eli Lilly plant in the area. Plans call for more than 1,400 single-family residential lots, multifamily units, townhomes at various price points, more than 250,000 square feet of retail and commercial space in a town square format, and a hotel. A K-8 school is also proposed as part of the development.
