Louisville kidnapping, robbery suspect heads back to jail after judge revokes probation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB/WAVE) — A man charged with kidnapping a Louisville family and robbing a bank last year is headed back to prison.

Judge Jessica Green revoked Armond Langford’s probation during a hearing Wednesday, meaning he will go back to jail to serve the remaining 14 years of his sentence for a string of armed robberies in 2022.

Langford’s 2025 arrest for the violent kidnapping and bank robbery violated the terms of his shock probation. With shock probation, a judge releases a defendant early, believing the shock of incarceration will deter them from committing future crimes…
