KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City leaders are looking to switch their strategy for the Roy Blunt Luminary Park after missing out on a $25 million federal grant.
With a goal to connect pieces of Kansas City together, the project is looking to get some motion. Plans are in the works towards council authorization on an ordinance to utilize both federal and state funding that is already in place.
“That will allow us to move forward with really phase one which constructs one block of the park on the western end, as well the improvements along I-670, and creates the tunnel from Broadway over to Baltimore with this first phase of the project,” Assistant City Manager Jeff Martin said…
