TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — If you’ve been to the Troy Farmers Market, you may be familiar with the Thai food vendor, Thunder Mountain Curry, a long-time staple of the community started by Mike Gordon 24 years ago. For the past 18 years, Gordon’s been running it with his trusted business partner, Michael Meade. Meade is the front man, taking everyone’s orders before calling them back to Chef Gordon. But when Meade didn’t show up for their meeting last Saturday, Gordon knew something was wrong.
“He has not missed a day or been late 10 minutes — I’m the one who’s late, he’s never late, and after 10, 15 minutes I went to his house,” Gordon explained.

When Gordon arrived, he found Meade on the bathroom floor with a gash in his forehead and a pool of blood and rushed him to Albany Medical Center. Meade told NEWS10’s Valerie Wencis that he had a bad cold that left him congested and woke up with a violent coughing fit that left him light-headed. He passed out and fell, hitting his head on his bathtub.
“When I came to, I was lying on top of my arms and my legs were twisted underneath me and I was completely paralyzed, I couldn’t move anything,” Meade recounted…
