Inspectors flag Brook Landing for expired permits, electrical hazards

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Tenants at Brook Landing apartment complex went without water after management posted a notice on the 10th announcing a shutoff for repairs, with no timeline for restoration. The water was restored the day code enforcement arrived on site.

A tenant identified as Vantoria said low water pressure had been a problem since she moved in months ago.

“We hadn’t had water until today,” Vantoria said. “They just cut it on when code enforcement came today.”

Stop-work orders, electrical hazards posted

Code enforcement posted stop-work signs on buildings where work permits expired years ago. Inspectors also flagged exposed wiring and other electrical hazards, which were reported directly to property managers…
