AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -A Miami landlord says he was not aware his Augusta apartment complex was operating without a business license, but an open records request obtained by News 12 shows otherwise.
Shakill Garnett, a tenant at Pace Corners, said he was sick for months while living with mold and no ventilation in his unit. He asked to be let out of his lease and instead received an eviction notice.
“I sent maintenance requests, never got answered. I started sending letters…I never seen a maintenance man here at all,” Garnett said…
