Dawn Staley, South Carolina lock down visit with 2027 4-star Oregon G Kaylor Buse

The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball is in a busy recruiting season, in addition to preparing for the upcoming 2026-27 season. On Friday, one of the Gamecocks’ elite targets for the class of 2027, Kaylor Buse, announced she would be taking an official visit to South Carolina.

Buse, who is from West Linn, Oreg., was offered by South Carolina just last month. Now, she is starting to narrow down her offers with visits. In addition to taking a trip to Columbia, the four-star guard will be taking trips to see several other programs, including Oregon, Washington, TCU and Utah. As you can see, the Gamecocks for now appear to be the furthest school from her home state of Oregon that she is visiting:

The dates of her official visits haven’t been set just yet. Buse averaged 15.2 points with 6.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.6 steals per game last season as a junior, adding 1.3 blocks per contest. She has been an all-state player for each of the last two seasons, and won the Defensive Player of the Year Award for her travel club, Northwest Select.
