Man held on more than $100K bond in Madison County drug bust

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A cocaine distribution investigation led authorities to arrest a Madison County man after search warrants were executed at three locations on Thursday.

Thomas Ryan Qualls, 45, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and first-degree possession of marijuana. His bonds on those charges total $102,500. Qualls is also being held without bond on a parole violation.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Huntsville Police Department SWAT Team, simultaneously executed search warrants at two locations in Harvest and one in Limestone County.

During the searches, investigators seized 41 grams of cocaine, seven ounces of marijuana, two firearms and $8,100 in U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales…
