WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is inviting the public to voice their opinions on the proposed replacement of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.
According to NCDOT, the four-lane, steel vertical-lift bridge, which connects Brunswick and New Hanover counties, is “functionally obsolete” and can no longer handle the traffic demand.
