LINCOLN — The vast majority of the 2,407 petition signatures rejected for former state Sen. Brett Lindstrom’s nonpartisan bid for Nebraska governor came in Lancaster County, where just 24.6% of signatures were valid.
Lindstrom submitted 2,210 signatures total for review in Lancaster County. Just 543 were valid.
This is not the first petition campaign to face allegations of fraudulent signatures this year or in Lancaster County. The county is home to Nebraska’s capital city of Lincoln and the heart of state government.
