Rochelle Wilcox and her team waved enthusiastically from a float that followed the St. Augustine High School Marching 100 to Freret Street. They were trailed by a few dozen early childcare teachers and a few toddlers, some walking hand-in-hand with their mothers and others riding colorful scooters.
The second line marked the opening of Wilcox Academy of Early Learning’s newest and most unique location. In addition to serving about 150 children, the development includes four two-bedroom affordable housing units.
