Remember the goats that frequented the hillside next to the once-decrepit Elks Temple in downtown Tacoma? They’re back — in spirit.
McMenamins Elks Temple recently revealed a new outdoor seating area on the north side of the now-beautiful historic structure at 565 Broadway: The Goat Lot. The patio officially opened on Friday, Aug. 11.
An extension of McMenamins Pub on the main floor of the eclectic hotel and venue, it’s now open daily. Guests are welcome to find a seat weekdays starting at 3 p.m. and weekends at noon. You don’t have to check in with the host stand inside the pub, but you can if your heart desires. Staff has stations set up outside and will greet you and provide full table-service for all food and drink on the pub menu.
