Another well-known restaurant chain is reducing its footprint, announcing the closure of two more locations as it continues to streamline operations across the country.
On July 30, 2026, Brinker International announced that Maggiano’s Little Italy will permanently close its restaurants in Garden City, New York, and Beachwood, Ohio, later this September. The company said both closures are tied to expiring leases that will not be renewed, affecting dozens of employees.

The Beachwood, Ohio, restaurant is scheduled to permanently close on September 27, 2026, after serving customers for more than 20 years. The Garden City, New York, location—Maggiano’s only restaurant on Long Island and a fixture since 2015—is expected to close the following day, September 28, 2026.
The latest closures will reduce Maggiano’s national footprint to 48 restaurants, continuing a trend that has seen the company shutter multiple locations over the past 18 months.
