MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A group of Memphians is working to restore a neglected local cemetery and the significant history buried there.
The Hollywood Cemetery is located off Hernando Road in South Memphis. It’s the final resting place of legendary blues musicians Furry Lewis and Frank Stokes.
In addition, many of the men who participated in the historic 1968 Memphis sanitation strike are buried there as well…
