AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 53-year-old man has been arrested and charged with first-degree cruelty to children after allegedly assaulting a child with autism, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
Deputies responded to a home in the 2000 block of Fernwood Circle around 7:51 a.m. on Aug. 13 for a welfare check.
According to the report, the 911 caller showed deputies video footage that allegedly captured Tyrone Miller striking a child who was lying on a bed. The video reportedly showed Miller kneeing the child in the side and back and hitting him with what appeared to be a broom handle.
