Charlotte became the center of the gospel music world Saturday night as the 41st Stellar Gospel Music Awards brought some of the genre’s biggest stars to the Spectrum Center for the first time.
The ceremony, with the theme “Feels Like Home,” had an especially strong North Carolina connection, with Charlotte gospel legend John P. Kee and Raleigh native Kim Person tying for the most nominations, with seven each.
