As the new Christian County High School prepares to welcome students on Wednesday, district officials say they have spent nearly two years working with state and local leaders to minimize traffic disruptions caused by the road construction project at the nearby intersection of Lovers Lane and Lafayette Road.
The project includes new turn lanes, improved sight distance, and roadway reconstruction designed to increase safety around the new high school. The work is expected to continue through the fall before entering additional phases next year.
