3 north Alabama hospitals recognized for 0 MRSA infection rate

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Becker’s Hospital Review reports that there are only six hospitals in the state that have a MRSA infection rate of zero, and three of them are in north Alabama.

One of them is Crestwood Medical Center, which says the August 2026 report is based on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Healthcare-Associated Infections dataset. The data covers July 2024 through June 2025.

Crestwood is joined on the list by Athens Limestone Hospital and Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, plus Baldwin Health in Foley, Flowers Hospital in Dothan and Thomas Hospital in Fairhope…
