An extreme heat warning will be in effect for part of Alabama starting tonight as a long-duration heat wave continues.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham on Sunday went ahead and issued the extreme heat warning for all of central Alabama starting at 9 tonight.
According to the weather service, an extreme heat warning is issued when “extremely dangerous heat conditions are expected.”…
