VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Women are one the fastest-growing demographics in sportfishing, accounting for about 43% of anglers in the United States, according to recent report from our sister station. That represents roughly 20 million taking in fishing nationwide.
The Rudee Inlet Ladies Open will bring women anglers together Sunday in Virginia Beach for an all-women offshore sportfishing tournament. About 20 teams are expected to compete.
