Thousands of Kentuckians were left without power Sunday night and into Monday morning after a strong thunderstorm passed through the region.
The storm hit southern Lexington around 8 p.m. and dropped 1.2 inches of rain in one hour, according to the Kentucky Mesonet. The storm resulted in two severe thunderstorm warnings and a flash flood warning from 8:49 p.m. 10:58 p.m., according to Iowa Environmental Mesonet data.
