Boomtown New Orleans Casino, a riverboat casino on the West Bank, will relocate to a $195 million on-land facility under a new name, its owner said Monday.
PENN Entertainment, the national gaming company that owns Boomtown and several other Louisiana casinos, said it plans to build a 140,000-square-foot casino on land near the riverboat in Harvey, under the new name “Hollywood Casino New Orleans.”
“We’re proud to make this significant investment in Jefferson Parish and create a new destination that will serve our guests and the community for years to come,” said Kathryn Jenkins, Boomtown’s vice president and general manager, in a prepared statement.
