Portland expands right-on-red limits to more crash-prone city streets

Portland will expand existing limits on right-on-red turns along some high-crash streets, furthering the city’s effort to reduce traffic deaths.

The plan, unanimously approved last week by the City Council, will begin as a pilot program at 30 intersections identified by the Portland Bureau of Transportation as particularly dangerous.
