Santa Rosa County boat ramp to temporarily close for improvements

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Santa Rosa County boat ramp is closing for “several months” for improvements.

According to a county news release, the Oriole Beach Boat Ramp, located in Gulf Breeze, will be closed beginning on Monday, Aug. 24, with many improvements being made, including:

  • removal of the existing boat ramp
  • construction of a new concrete boat ramp
  • shoreline stabilization
  • stormwater management
  • parking lot improvements
  • landscaping
  • signage

The boat ramp is not expected to reopen until Feb. 20, 2027, according to the release.

Along with the boat ramp being closed, the entrance to the ramp from Linden Avenue and Shady Pine Drive will be closed.
